OK so this is a sports blog, but its also our blog (and kinda your blog too) so I do have the freedom to talk about whatever I want.. let me just tell you… THIS…. IS…. AWESOME! Every so often you can catch one of these blog things with something totally random. It could be something exciting and new thats coming out. It could be something that put me on my ass ’cause it was so funny. It could be something serious in my world that just needs to be shared. It could be anything. There’s only one catch… wait.. what am I talking about.. there is no catch…
After reviewing the pitching for the upcoming season in Part 1, I will be going over the team’s lineup and defense on the field. Will the Marlins improve on the field after pacing the league in errors last year? How will that lineup hold up? Here are the rest of the answers you’ve been waiting for.
What does the summer ahead hold for the young Fish? Will the unestablished starting pitchers settle in and have a good year? Will the lineup sink or swim without Miguel Cabrera? Will the bullpen replicate the season they had last year or revert back to the 2006 bullpen? All these questions answered and more, NEXT!!!!!!!
More predictions from the “experts” here at SoFlaSports. These things are so hard to choose, especially this early in the year. We’ll check back about halfway through the year to see how things are going.
I am going to come right out and say this is the most post powerful division in baseball because it has the defending champion Red Sox and the always-dangerous New York Yankees. Although the AL Central makes this a tuff decision, they are all very good but have plenty of question marks that need to be addressed.
We here at SoFlaSports do not pretend to be experts by any stretch of the imagination, but really, when it comes to sports, who is? What makes you an expert anyways? Getting fired as GM of the Mets? A journalism degree from a major university? Being on TV everyday? Either way, thats a rant for another day. Today is the day we release our “expert” predictions on the upcoming MLB season. Enjoy!
This past Sunday I attended the weather plagued CA Championship at Doral, and it still boggles my mind how some golf fans have no respect for the game. Is it so hard to stand still and stay quiet for a few moments when Tiger Woods, probably the best golfer of our time, addresses the ball trying to make a run in the final round of the tournament. I guess they do not realize what a privilege it is to have a tournament with the top 100 players in the world in their backyard.

The American League Central Might be the most exciting division in baseball. This division includes two powerhouses in Cleveland and Detroit, and two teams that always are dangerous in Minnesota and Chicago (except for Chicago 72 - 90 record last year). Its home to big name name pitchers like Javier Vazquez, C.C. Sabathia, Justin Verlander, Dontrelle Willis, Joe Nathan, and more. Fireworks are seen nightly in this division as baseballs are being blasted into the stands by hitters such as Jim Thome(35 HRs), Paul Konerko (31Hrs), Miguel Cabrera (34), and others. I definately see two playoff teams coming from this division because of their powerful lineups and balanced pitching. Lets take a look…
